The statue of Lord Vishnu in the form of Hindu religion is the God the Preserver (Sthiti), riding Garuda bird. Garuda figures can be read in the story of Garuda & empire which tells about the devotion and sacrifice of the bird Garuda to save his mother from slavery finally protected by the god Vishnu.
